是那手洁心清,不慕虚幻的人,是那不发假誓,不行欺骗的人。

手洁
。即不受罪恶污染。行动是靠手的。所以手洁就是行义(见伯17:9;诗18:24)。
心清
。真宗教不在于外表上遵守礼仪。它控制人的心,产生纯洁的思想和纯正的动机。
不向
。就是“不让自己”(见诗3:2;16:10注释)。
虚妄
(shaw')。“没有价值”;有时指偶像的无用(耶18:15),虚伪的观念,起假誓,妄称上帝的名(出20:7)。虔诚的人只注重真实的东西。
起誓不怀诡诈
。参第九条诫命(出20:16)。

荣耀的王是谁呢
?见第8节注释。
万军之耶和华
。上帝掌管宇宙中一切受造者,对他们进行有序的调遣,编成队伍投入战场。祂统治着全宇宙。宇宙的各等居民都承认祂的主权。“万军”有时指“天体”(见创2:1;申17:3),有时指“天使”(书5:14;诗103:21;诗148:2)。对于抬约柜者第一次回答的反应,城门似乎在等候的队伍前仍是关闭的(诗24:8)。第二次回答不是“有力有能的耶和华,在战场上有能的耶和华”, 而是“万军之耶和华”,似乎成了打开城门光荣口令。仪式的效果得到了加强。又见撒上17:45;撒下6:2;赛1:9。 本诗的结尾与开头的思想完全吻合:只有上帝才是宇宙的主宰。只有祂应该得到普遍的承认。在上帝的山上安置约柜的典礼,为这样的宣告提供了合适的场合。
