('ak)。还有“惟独”,“真是”的意思,用来加强语气。在本篇中用了六次(又见第2,4,5,6,9节)。'ak在本节强调其后的“等候上帝”。说明诗人专心等候上帝,不等候其他的一切。关于'ak加强后面词语语气的另一个例子,见诗39:5,6。'ak(译为“真是”)连续出现在三行的开头,而这里则出现六次。
我的心
。指“我”(见诗16:10注释)。
等候
(dumiyyah)。是名词而不是动词。意为“安静”,“安静等候”,或安静期待(见诗65:1)。诗人的心与上帝保持和谐。他得到这种平静,是因为他把一切都交托在上帝的手中。
我的救恩
。见诗35:3;37:39。

慈爱
(chesed)。指“上帝的慈爱”(见诗36篇的补充注释)。上帝既是有能力的神,也是慈爱的神。人不但要认识上帝的大能,也要认识上帝不变的爱。“能力没有慈爱,就是粗鲁;慈爱没有能力,就是软弱”(佩罗恩)。
照着各人所行的
。本诗以一句至理明言结束。当一个人因行善而得到奖赏时,那是出于上帝的恩典,因为没有人配得奖赏。
