本会注释　　初熟的。无花果通常在八月开始收获。“初熟的果子”（何9:10），“夏天的果子”（弥7:1）、“夏令以前初熟的无花果”（赛28:4），被视为上好的美味。
　　极坏的无花果。“坏得不可吃。”可能是因为损坏，腐烂，或味道不好。

本会注释　　巴比伦的犹太人从被掳之地回归的时候，其物质和经济状况要比奴隶或囚犯好（见耶29:4-7,28；参拉2:1,64-70）。《以斯拉书》和《尼希米书》透露了被掳的犹太人波斯君主手下所享受的宽容。但以理和他的朋友的历史说明了犹太人在政界曾获得很高的提拔。正是由于这种令人满意的状况，许多被掳的犹太人在有机会的时候也没有回到自己的故乡。但上帝真正的善意是让被掳的人重返巴勒斯坦，完全恢复圣约的特权（见《SDA圣经注释》本卷第31页）。

†[Nkjv]"And as the bad figs which cannot be eaten, they are so bad'--surely thus says the LORD--"so will I give up Zedekiah the king of Judah, his princes, the residue of Jerusalem who remain in this land, and those who dwell in the land of Egypt.

†[BBE]And like the bad figs which are so bad that they are of no use for food, so I will give up Zedekiah, king of Judah, and his chiefs and the rest of Jerusalem who are still in this land, and those who are in the land of Egypt:

†[GNT] "As for King Zedekiah of Judah, the politicians around him, and the rest of the people of Jerusalem who have stayed in this land or moved to Egypt - I, the Lord, will treat them all like these figs that are too bad to be eaten.

†[NIV]But like the poor figs, which are so bad they cannot be eaten,' says the Lord , 'so will I deal with Zedekiah king of Judah, his officials and the survivors from Jerusalem, whether they remain in this land or live in Egypt.

†[BBE]I will give them up to be a cause of fear and of trouble among all the kingdoms of the earth; to be a name of shame and common talk and a cutting word and a curse in all the places wherever I will send them wandering.

†[GNT] I will bring such a disaster on them that all the nations of the world will be terrified. People will make fun of them, make jokes about them, ridicule them, and use their name as a curse everywhere I scatter them.

†[NIV]I will make them abhorrent and an offense to all the kingdoms of the earth, a reproach and a byword, an object of ridicule and cursing, wherever I banish them.

　　从……之地灭绝。这些不顺从的人所受的最大惩罚就是藉着被掳，逃亡或死亡，从他们的故土上完全消失。
　　公元前586年第三次被掳到巴比伦之后剩下的犹太人，在基大利遭到谋杀的几个月后，大部份都自愿逃到埃及去。他们不顾耶利米警告执意这样做，是因为担心在尼布甲尼撒手下进一步受苦（见耶42章）。怪不得上帝称这些乖张的人为“极坏的无花果”。
